Product Requirement Document
Definition
Product Requirement Document: A Product Requirement Document (PRD) specifies what a product or feature should do to solve a customer problem. Modern PRDs focus on problem context, success metrics, and user outcomes rather than detailed specifications. They align teams on what to build and why, while leaving room for design and engineering creativity.
Example Usage
βOur PRD template has four sections: problem statement, success metrics, user stories, and open questions. Engineering loves the clarity.β
